    With the development of smart cities and the Internet of Things market, new businesses and applications based on different scenarios are exploding, such as smart enterprise gateways, smart campuses, smart medicine, smart finance, etc. These application scenarios generally require branch nodes to have computing and storage capabilities, provide an open operating environment, provide business processing capabilities at network edge nodes, and quickly and smoothly integrate customized applications and businesses in different scenarios, Improve the real-time and reliability of remote node business processing.

    Relying on profound technology accumulation and in-depth understanding of intelligent scenarios and enterprise network requirements, H3C launched SR6602-I AI series ICT integrated gateway products (hereinafter referred to as SR6602-I series routers) to integrate network, computing and storage capabilities and provide new impetus for customer business innovation and rapid delivery. Compared with traditional gateway products, H3C has the following advantages:

    Integration of network CT business and computing IT resources: adopt the container network operating system Comware V9 for the cloud era, integrate computing/storage capabilities, simplify network deployment, and reduce TCO costs.

    Strong computing resources: Intel Xeon series CPU; Dual hard disk slots, supporting Raid; Support large memory expansion; Support GPU board to expand AI computing power.

    Open architecture: The Convergence Gateway provides an open operating system platform and supports the deployment of customer services in virtual machines and containers; Support the docking of OpenStack cloud computing management platform and Kubernetes container management platform.

    SR6602-I series routers have two operation modes: convergence and convergence. In the convergence mode, the SR6602-I series router is a convergence router tailored for operator, government, power, finance, education, enterprise and other user networks. As the first router product equipped with container network operating system in the industry, its new hardware platform and open and programmable design concept interpret a new data communication service solution for the future, fully meet the needs of users for diversified business expansion in the future, and conform to the development trend of operators and IT construction in various industries.

    SR6602-I series routers mainly include two types: SR6602-I and SR6602-IE.


    Integration of network CT business and computing IT resources

    • Sr6602-i series routers conform to the development trend of cloud computing and edge computing. Based on the container network operating system, they realize the organic combination of CT business and computing IT resources. The characteristics are as follows:

    • The container network operating system Comware V9 for the cloud era is adopted to provide a truly open and efficient network platform and build an open ecosystem for multiple services and full scenarios.

    • It provides professional computing side resource configuration, Intel Xeon series CPU, external dual hard disk slots, standard PCI-E slot expansion, and optional GPU board to enhance AI computing power.

    • Advanced hardware virtualization scheme: CPU, memory, storage, interface and other hardware resources are pooled for resource management, and hardware resource configuration is flexibly allocated and dynamically adjusted according to actual business requirements.


    Innovative mechanical and electrical design, easy to use, high reliability

    • The mechanical and electrical design of SR6602-I series routers combines the characteristics of high reliability of CT equipment and easy maintenance of IT equipment:

    • Innovative mechanical and electrical design is adopted. The chassis supports tool free quick disassembly, which is convenient for users to expand memory and standard PCI-E equipment.

    • Modular power supply, modular fan, front and rear cooling air ducts, redundant components, hot plug support, convenient maintenance, and high reliability.

    • External dual hard disk slots support RAID and provide high data reliability.


    Unified cloud management platform and open architecture

    • Integrate OpenStack Nova compute components, support docking with control nodes implemented according to OpenStack standards, and complete the lifecycle management of virtual machines.

    • Integrate Docker and Kubelet, and support third-party applications to be deployed to devices in the form of containers.

    • Adapt to the AD-WAN solution to support rapid WAN deployment, secure tunnel establishment, link optimization, and application traffic visualization.


    Higher interface density and convergence capability

    • SR6602-I series routers provide high-density Ethernet interfaces, OC3/STM-1 channelized POS interfaces and E1 narrowband access capabilities within 2U.

    • SR6602-I series routers provide 20 10GE and 12 GE ports by default, and can be further expanded to 32 10GE and 28 GE ports, which can fully meet the user needs in the high-density Ethernet convergence scenario.

    • SR6602-I series routers support the expansion of OC3/STM-1 POS interface, support channelization to E1, and provide high-density E1 line speed convergence. Their narrowband access capacity, density and performance have reached the industry level.


    Encryption performance and rich VPN features

    • SR6602-I series routers have a built-in hardware encryption engine, which provides encryption performance and powerful data encryption capability without increasing user investment, and can further expand the encryption capability through standard PCI-E devices.

    • With the ADVPN (Auto Discovery Virtual Private Network) solution, IPsec tunnels can be built dynamically across the WAN, enabling flexible IPsec tunnels between branches and headquarters (HUB-SPOKE), branches and branches (Full Mesh).

    • SR6602-I series routers support L2TP and GRE tunnel access functions, can be used as 4G/5G VPDN user side gateway devices, support the aggregation of massive L2TP and GRE tunnels, and support high-speed encryption and decryption of tunnel encapsulated traffic through IPsec protocol.


    Comprehensive network security protection

    • SR6602-I series routers support rich access control and attack prevention features, providing a full range of network security protection functions for internal networks.

    • SR6602-I series routers provide the access control function based on the combination of user name, password, IP address and MAC address. With H3C EAD solution, they can achieve all-round access control on user terminals, including the security check of virus database update, system patch installation, black and white list of software, use of USB flash disk peripherals, software and hardware asset information, etc.

    • SR6602-I series routers have built-in firewall features, support packet filtering, support DOS attack prevention, and can resist malformed message attacks, flooding attacks, and scanning attacks.


    Reliability design of operation level

    • SR6602-I series routers provide comprehensive reliability assurance.

    • In terms of hardware design, the reliability design of redundant power supply and modular fan is adopted to support the direct hot plug function of power supply, fan and business card.

    • In terms of software functions, it supports rich reliability features to ensure rapid recovery of services during network equipment operation, including:

    • Support software hot patch to achieve smooth software upgrade and ensure that the business will not be interrupted during software upgrade;

    • Support BFD, NQA and other link detection protocols. When the WAN link fails, the upper layer protocol can converge in time to shorten the service interruption time;

    • Support FRR (fast rerouting), which can be linked with static route/policy route/dynamic route to achieve fast route switching of the failed link;

    • Support VRRP virtual routing redundancy protocol, and combine with BFD to achieve fast VRRP switching capability;

    • Support EAA embedded automation architecture.
